# I have no idea. Nothing till the pavement. (Guatemala) – Amatenango del la Frontera (Mexico)

Crossable with no checkpoints nor controls on either side. I was told by several locals it was not recommended because of the difficulty of the road. Even for cyclists. I do know that once you get to the pavement on the Guatemala side the climb toward Tacaná is very difficult. That's not counting the gravel road just to get to the pavement. I've taken the next one at Bocanton near Mazapa going up the switchbacks to Veracruz.
