The border crossing Pasoa Canoa to / from Panama is very busy. When we arrived from Panama there was a pedestrian line of 300 m. That is about 3 hours (!) to wait. There are men walking around who "help" foreigners. Means that they direct you to the counter, a customs officer checks your panniers and you get a stamp. We were done in 10 minutes. That "the guy" expects a tip is clear. We gave him $ 10, which he settled without protest.
