Medieval castle guarding the place where the road from Amsterdam to the East crossed River Vecht. In a very scenic location by the IJmeer lake and the old harbour village of Muiden, just a about an hour's bike ride away from downtown Amsterdam. It's also the beginning of a very nice approach of Amsterdam from the East by following the IJmeer shore via the Jan Kerstenpad ("schapenpad" / "sheep trail") and the Diemerpark.
